Ten Seconds…
Ten seconds was the time they say it took for the South Tower of the World Trade Center (behind the church in this photo) to collapse. This was the last photo I took as it started to fall. It destroyed St. Nicolas Greek Orthodox Church, and sent me diving into the lobby of 90 West St., which was right at my back. Though the lobby was mostly destroyed with the impact from the shock wave, somehow those of us who made it into the lobby survived. Many others did not.
This website gives an overview of my experience, highlights pictures from that fateful day, and is a platform to purchase the second edition of my book, which details my whole story.
